This month's event finds us racing against the approach of winter in one of Alaska's busiest airports - Ketchikan (PAKT).
Ketchikan's economy is based upon government services, tourism, timber operations and commercial fishing and the airport serves as a hub for local aircraft to distribute and collect goods to and from the area.
The Flying Club has offered to go along and help with the distribution of goods and passengers and also to collect the same from outlying strips to bring them back to Ketchikan.
The area is served mainly by water strips but with several good hard runways so choice of aircraft is not too restrictive and the Club is making our DC3 available for the day too!
Our task is simple - we are tasked to move as much as possible during the event.
