Operations
FLY2 - Summer schedules are now live and running retaining the primary and secondary UK departure configuration introduced for the winter season, thus giving us our most expansive summer schedule yet. All the usual year-round holiday spots feature, including summer seasonal destinations such as the Greek Islands, Majorca, Ibiza and Turkey.

EGHI hub - Our new Southampton regional hub has launched, providing Dash 8 Q400 flights within the domestic and Channel islands network, plus key European cities.

New Franchise - Were almost ready to share with you further details of our new franchise acquisition which will give our members something new to get into down under. Look out for further announcements in the coming weeks.

End of April saw the inaugural ATC Event take place for the benefit of Fly UK members. It was regarded as a resounding success and a great time was had by all. Apart from a small number of people having PC issues (doesn't that always happen :( ), it all ran smoothly and received a very warm response from those who took part. A big thank you to both controllers and pilots that made it possible. This is just the start of events like this and possibly even a weekly log on session could be forthcoming. But we need you, you the pilots, to make this an even more immersive experience - we could have easily coped with a 4 -5 fold increase in pilots. So come on fellow members don't be shy, sign up for the next event, 14th May 13:00 UTC.

Nordic Sky
The new Nordic Sky summer routes are out. Enjoy one of our new destinations like Svalbard high up north, with our brand new plane the 717. The liveries will be out soon but feel free to fly around in the standard livery until our paint shop is ready with the brand new 717. Not only are we bringing a new plane, this is also the first iteration of Nordic Sky with full coverage in Norway. We hope you enjoy this.

Tours
Work has been ongoing in the back office, with several very new and some very different tours becoming available over the next month.  We are awaiting a few minor changes by the technical team which will allow us to release the tours.  Some tours will move into the retirement section (minimum 6 weeks) if you need more time let us know.

Training Academy
We are pleased to announce we now have 9 controllers currently ADC qualified, with a few continuing to Approach level. The next batch of applicants are about to commence their training, so we hope to be able to provide ATC not just for events, but also open regular weekly sessions. With this in mind there are tentative plans to revamp the flying club to include more technical challenges involving the new ATC service. No specific plans have been made as yet, but it would  be prudent to consider additional training of controllers, specifically aimed at small GA airfields. Currently, Shoreham EGKA is marked as a training airfield for GA VFR & Procedural IFR training which includes visiting airfields. Therefore, there is a need to recruit controllers for these positions. Those interested in this can book ATC courses in the usual way, but in the comments make it clear you are interested in GA VFR & Procedural IFR control.

Charters (Ad-Hoc)
Delivery flights have been ongoing over the past few weeks for the new Dash 8 aircraft.  Flights have also been listed to return our 757 aircraft from Canada.  Flights will be added in an ad-hoc fashion during May and will include flights to assist with the ATC events.

Flying Club
Work has been ongoing with at least 3 new tours scheduled for release in early May (pending minor web site changes).  A new element will also be added to our Wednesday evening flights to include more ATC; full details will be released during May.
