It is the time of the year where we announce our Winter Schedules for 2010/11 and make certain changes to the structure, fleet & operational destinations. Active from today (1st November 2010) are our new winter schedules. The routes database has been changed over - so get searching for a new favorite! We hope that these changes keep an interesting and stimulating variety for all our pilots to try something now alongside the old favorites. Below is a brief summary of the changes and, as always, we welcome any comments and feedback in the forum topic: http://forum.flyuk.aero/index.php?showtopic=10553

- Heathrow worldwide destinations have been updated. New destinations from here include; Lusaka, Dar Es Salaam, Beijing, Dallas, Doha via Bahrain & Tokyo. Our European and Domestic services from Heathrow remain unchanged. Heathrow will also see its last B757 operational aircraft leave by 1st Nov. G-FLBR is the last 757 to operate out of Heathrow and will become a chartered aircraft for Winter 10/11 based at Manchester.

- Charter services from Manchester & Gatwick have been updated. Summer only destinations will be ending with increased services on our all year round routes. Winter destinations such as Geneva, Innsbruck & Salzburg will begin. Gatwick will see both our A330 aircraft leave scheduled service by 1st Nov however they will remain in circulation for operational purposes based at Gatwick until further notice. These two will be replaced by one B767 aircraft (G-FLDL) and Gatwick will now operate two 767s to operate Worldwide schedules. Manchester sees no aircraft changes other than the new 757 charter mentioned above.

- Edinburgh will see two new services to Germany, a weekly service to Frankfurt and 4x weekly service to the famous city of Cologne. Edinburgh's connection with America will be terminating for the winter period with the Newark service ending. Plans for the service to return in May11 are in order. Winter services to Innsbruck and Geneva from Edinburgh will operate twice weekly and on a 'W' leg pattern with our focus hub Newcastle. The winter season will see Prague added for 3x weekly and our Sharm El Sheikh service has been increased to twice Weekly until May11.

- Leeds will see four new destinations for the Winter season including Sharm El Sheikh, Geneva, Innsbruck & Chambery running until May11. A special 'Christmas Shopping Experience' Newark service from Leeds and two other UK airports will be announced soon. Leeds will also have a second A320 based there from Winter10/11 to support our Charter network throughout the Winter.

- Southampton will see four new winter destinations: Avignon, Berne, Geneva & Chambery for the Winter period. Southampton will also face an aircraft reduction for the beginning of the season, with one Dash 8 (G-FLCR) leaving service by 1st Nov. This will be the start of the Dash8 withdrawal scheme. All Dash8s will have left service from SOU by 10th December 2010. All will be replaced by our new ATRs.

- Low Cost operations have been updated for the Winter period seeing many Summer only destinations dropped and more Winter low cost destinations added.

- Operations have many things planned for the next few months with the 2010 Hajj charter flights to be released soon, Santa flights to Finland, Increased Ski schedules, Winter cruise flights plus much more to be released in the near future. We look forward to hearing your feedback in the forum linked at the top of the page.
