Sherburn Aero Club present their third annual flight simulation show! A great fun day out for all the family - not to be missed! This years show is being promoted and organised by Astra Sim expo. There will be an aerobatic display by John Dixon in his Extra 300, a display of vintage aircraft, a full size flight simulator, a special display of top of the range prestige sports cars, flight simulation/aviation stands and stalls, a bouncy castle and slide for children plus much more!

Fly UK are pleased to announce that we will be exhibiting at this years event. The Fly UK stand will be manned by UKV1142 - Ken Hall and UKV1575 - Chris Miley who will be armed with Fly UK promotional material to make sure every visitor hears about Fly UK!

Every Fly UK members who confirms their attendance to this event via the forum attendance list thread will be provided with a Fly UK lanyard and name badge. Lanyards can be picked up from Ken or Chris on the Fly UK stand on the day. The best way we can promote ourselves is by having lots of Fly UK people around! We hope to see many Fly UK members at the event supporting Ken and Chris in promoting our virtual airline!

Where the real world meets the virtual world. We think this even is made even more special by its venue. Sherburn Aero Club is an active airfield and is the largest flying club in the North of England, with over 700 members and a continuous throughput of students. This event provides flight simmers with the opportunity to get closer to real world aviation and meet/chat to people who fly for real.

There are much smaller monthly meetings at Sherburn for the clubs own flight simulation user group but this event is the BIG ONE - not to be missed!

Directions / How To Get There:

Address - The Airfield, Lennerton Lane, Sherburn In Elmet, Leeds, LS25 6JE

By Road - Sherburn Aero Club is just along the B1222 access into Sherburn is available from the north or south along the A1 with adjoining motorways M1 and M62 nearby. The Airfield is only five minutes from the centre of the town of Sherburn in Elmet and twenty minutes from Selby. We have ample free car parking on site.

By Rail - Monday to Saturdays there are six trains a day northbound to York however the last service departs after 1400. There are two trains a day southbound to both Selby on the Hull-York Line and Sheffield on the Dearne Valley Line. Sundays there are two trains a day towards York and Sheffield. Please check timetable before visiting.

By Bus - The 402 bus service from Leeds to Selby runs Monday to Saturday, every sixty minutes. Via Halton-Whitkirk-Colton-Garforth-Sherburn in Elmet. Please check timetable before visiting. (subject to change)

By Air - Visitors can also fly into the Sherburn site by prior arrangement with Air Traffic Control seven days a week. Please call 01977 682 674 for details. (subject to change)
