Guest Posted June 9, 2010 Report Share Posted June 9, 2010 ___________________________________________ VATSIM - New Pilots Day Event ______________________________________________________ Fly UK Virtual Airways is pleased to announce the introduction of a new event to our regular monthly programme. As many VATSIM pilots have often expressed nervousness about attending events or getting started with online flying, we have decided to create the VATSIM New Pilots Day. The format of the event is quite simple: an easy UK Domestic or near European flight (Ireland, The Netherlands and France) that has full air traffic control provided. All controllers will be notified of the event and will ensure they provide clear speech (as clear as possible at least) and will be ready to provide progressive taxi and help with understanding instructions. On Teamspeak, Fly UK staff will also be around to assist and answer your individual questions if necessary in one of the new private online flying rooms. All in all, it's a chance for you to fly with the staff team and controllers ready to help you every step of the way! Experienced pilots are also welcome to come along. This is a chance for you to get to know some new members of our community and help them if they start overwhelming staff and controllers. It will be a short domestic flight from our Glasgow base to good old Birmingham. We will meet on the Fly UK TeamSpeak server from 0830z.
