UKV1412 - Richard Jones Posted April 1, 2016 Report Share Posted April 1, 2016 Calling all those interested in online flying: awards for attending online events Many of you will be aware that we run weekly events on IVAO (Saturday morning) and VATSIM (Tuesday evenings and Thursday afternoons). While many members are content to fly offline, we are keen to encourage all that wish to venture into the world of online flying, by joining our ‘regulars’ and giving your flying that extra dimension. To encourage this, we are running awards over the next 13 weeks (2 April to 30 June) for regular attendance. Any member who completes one of the weekly events for at least 8 of the next 13 weeks, will be granted a Bronze Event award. 10-11 events will merit Silver, and 12 or 13 Gold. Our events over the next 13 weeks are mainly in Europe but include the odd excursion in the US or the Caribbean. Also the end of April and early May will see a week of ‘multi-start’ events, where members all start at different airports but converge on a single destination: in this case our base at Leeds-Bradford. See relevant forum posts for details. Our weekly events form an ideal introduction to online flying. Often we do not have ATC, but this gives you the benefit of being able to chat to our more experienced online flyers in our dedicated rooms on Teamspeak. Also members have a wide choice of aircraft, with most of our fleet available for each event. So what are you waiting for?
