UKV1412 - Richard Jones
Details of new summer schedules effective from 0001z 5 April Further to the Press Release yesterday (CEO Update https://flyuk.aero/en/index.php?page=press_release&id=857) I’m pleased to announce that after a lot of hard work by members of staff, most of our summer schedules are ready for release and will come into effect from 0001z Tuesday 5 April. This covers all Fly UK operations except FLY2, where work is continuing and a further update will follow in the next few days. Key details for changes to our mainstream schedules, which see an overall increase in the number of destinations served, are as follows: · Routes withdrawn: Chambery (from Gatwick, London City, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh); Bordeaux and Pisa (Gatwick); Berne (London City); Grenoble, Keflavik and Gibraltar (all from Birmingham). Any members who prefer to run a sequential logbook will need to return from the above destinations departing no later than 2359z Monday 4 April. · New destinations: o Heathrow to: Cork, Shannon, Stuttgart and Oslo. o Gatwick to: Newcastle, Larnaca (transferred from Heathrow), Marseille, Oslo and St Petersburg. o London City to: Avignon and Bergerac. o Birmingham to: Oslo, Prague and Warsaw. o Manchester to: Lyon, Bordeaux, Milan, Palma, Prague and Warsaw. o Edinburgh to: Barcelona, Milan, Nice and Oslo. Other changes: · Heathrow services to Denver, Toronto and Riyadh will now be operated by B772 aircraft replacing B763s. Also one of the 2 daily flights to Madrid will also be operated by the B772 as will the 3 per week morning service to Zurich. This will add some shorter routes for the B772, as requested by members. Changes to some Class A tours are also being worked on to provide a greater selection of shorter routes. · Highland Connect schedules are largely unchanged although, as last summer, 1 Twin Otter will be based at Exeter to serve the West Country including Land’s End and the Scillies. · Cargo schedules are unchanged pending base and aircraft changes planned for later this year. --- ENDS --- For further information, please do not hesitate to contact us: Richard Jones CEO Email: richard.jones[at]flyuk.aero or operations[at]flyuk.aero
