UKV1197 - Derek Butterworth
Dear Members, We hope you are all enjoying our new routes and fleet additions, and with the Aurora operations, there are even more reasons to be actively flying now than ever before! Our 15th Birthday is on the 4th April and we are going to be celebrating this milestone in Fly UK's history. To that end, 15th Birthday Celebration Awards will be available to members that get involved in our Birthday activities. Please keep watching the forums and the March Newsletter for the details. Last month's activity at Fly UK had an average of 325 unique pilots per week filing a PIREP in January. We received 2,239 Mainstream PIREPs, 977 Tour PIREPs and 328 Flying Club PIREPs. Membership numbers currently stand at 972. Operations Aurora missed its spotlight in last month's newsletter, with its launch coming at the New Year. Featuring some amazing routes and aircraft, it has been an instant hit. Cargo ops continue to update to new schedules with the latest update, which went live 20th January. Looking ahead to February, it's peak ski season in Europe and we have all the popular winter destinations covered by Mainstream schedule and Fly2 holiday charters. Documentation The Pilot Handbook & SOP has been updated to include Aurora and an improvement to the way that we use TeamSpeak during Online Events. The latest version is now V2.31 and may be viewed/downloaded from within the Crew Centre. The document UKV_TRD_6.2 Setting Up TeamSpeak has also been updated to include the Online Events improvements. The latest version is now V1.2 and may be downloaded from within the General tab of the Courses and Documents area of the Training Academy. With thanks to UKV1150 David Williamson for the TeamSpeak suggestion. Skyways Magazine Have you entered the competition in the latest edition?
