UKV1121 - Chris Sutcliffe
New Route > Montreal, Canada Fly UK are pleased to announce its first Canadian destination since our entire operations were re-structured a few months ago. Montreal is the first Canadian destination which will be served from our main base, London Heathrow. Fly UK also plan to expand its operations to Canada in the coming months, so watch out for further route announcements, we'll also be asking for ideas and opinions on our operations to Canada in the Highflyer forums soon. Flights begin April 5th 2007, operated by G-FLDG, a Boeing 757-300 which will depart Heathrow at 06.00 every day for a 7 hour flight to Montreals, Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport. Dave Whitson, Fly UK's chief operations officer comments: "We are pleased to be finally re-commencing our operations to Canada, we continually review our route network to adapt and add new destinations and flights all the time, we look forward to expanding ops to Canada later in 2007 and look forward to seeing the popularity statistics of these routes." Montreal is the second-largest city in Canada and the largest city in the province of Quebec. Originally called Ville-Marie ("Mary City"), the city had come to be known as Montréal by the 18th century, a name derived from the French Mont Royal ("Mount Royal"), the name of the three-head hill at the heart of the city. Formerly the largest metropolis of Canada (a distinction since acquired by Toronto), it is the second-largest French-speaking city in the Western world, after Paris. --- ENDS --- For further information, please do not hesitate to contact us: Operations Department Email: operations.department@flyukva.com
