Fly UK are pleased to announce that there will be a social gathering at "The Airport Hotel" at Manchester Airport on Saturday 25th of August. This is open to anyone who wishes to come along, Fly UK members will be there from 11:30am.

The Airport Hotel is situated right next to the end of runway 23R and gives a very good view of both arrivals and departures. There is also good food available all day and there is a good selection of drinks from the bar as well, all at very reasonable prices. There is also ample car parking for those bringing their cars along, the cost of parking is £5 for 4 hours and the machine will only take pound coins, however don't be put off by the price as £4 is redeemable from the bar in the form of a voucher which is attached to your ticket. Vouchers can be swapped for £4 cash or food / drink.

From the M56 : You need to exit at Junction 5, and when the carriageways merge you need to keep in the left hand lane. Then you simply follow the road ahead making sure you are on Ringway Road. About 2/3's of the way up Ringway Road, there is a right turning that goes over a railway bridge. The Airport Hotel is on the left just after going over the railway bridge.

By Train : Sorry I have no specific directions for you from the train station, however if you are coming by train I would be happy to collect you from the station and take you to the pub. (Please note that this option would need to be arranged prior to the day, please email me on the appropriate email)

This is a perfect oppurtunity for members of the VA to get together in one location and have a good day and also a good laugh, we hope to see as many people there as possible, as the more people who turn up the better the day will be.
