Events: We have lots planned at Fly UK this week, so come and fly, get involved and be an active member of our growing community. If you are new to Fly UK, or new to Teamspeak, this week is the perfect opportunity to make those first steps into entering the online world of virtual aviation. Tuesday - IVAO GB Online Night - London Stansted - Glasgow Every Tuesday it is IVAO GB's online night, come and show your support for IVAO GB, and take a flight with Fly UK this coming Tuesday (04th Dec). Fly UK pilots will be flying scheduled flight FL319B, from London Stansted to Glasgow, so come and jump in a B737-800 and join us for this flight. We are aiming to depart around 19.00 local. Don't forget it doesn't matter what rank you are, any Fly UK pilot can join in this online IVAO event and fly the B737-800! Pilots are advised to plan their own route, we will be meeting in on Teamspeak in Fly UK Crew Room 1 at 18.30. see you there! Thursday & Friday - FS INN Setup Nights UKV1270 - Will Dewing and other members of the Training Academy will be available on Teamspeak this Thursday and Friday from 7PM - 10PM to help people get setup with FS INN, which is the pilot client required to connect to the new Fly UK FSD server. The new server is much more stable, and will be used for training and future 'in-house' events. Don't miss out on this perfect opportunity to get one2one advice and guidance on installing this software so you can quickly and easily connect to the new Fly UK multiplayer server! Saturday - IVAO Manchester TMA Event Real world operation events prove to be hugely popular, and this Saturday IVAO GB are doing it again. After the success of the Gatwick Real Operations event earlier this year, IVAO present the Manchester TMA event which includes Manchester, Liverpool and East Midlands. Fly UK will be activating our events booking system later this week, and pilots will be able to book low cost FLY2 flights using the B737-700, flying to and from Liverpool. Look out for the full event information pack and details of how to book later this week! Other News: Updating Flights Database The staff team are currently busy updating route data for all our flights, this includes updating suggested flight plans, fuel, distance, flight levels and alternate airport data. We anticipate to have all route data which is used on flight manifests updated by the end of December. Helicopter Operations As Doug Barr has stepped down from the staff team, we will be making an announcement towards the end of this week, about the future of helicopter operations at Fly UK. New Training Academy Courses Our dedicated in-house Training Academy will be launching 2 new courses this week, look out for press releases on our homepage with more information! We will be promoting the new Fly UK FSD Server throughout the week, with information on how to connect and what its all about. As mentioned above, we are also hosting sessions on Teamspeak this Thursday and Friday from 7PM, to talk people through setting up the pilot client FS INN, which is required in order to connect to the new server! All you need to to do is come along and connect to Teamspeak, on either Thursday or Friday from 7M and someone will be happy to help you. Have a great week!
