UKV1121 - Chris Sutcliffe
_________________________________________________We've Upgraded to Teamspeak 3________________________________________________ As part of our server move, we've upgraded the Fly UK Teamspeak server to Teamspeak 3. You'll no longer be able to use Teamspeak 2 with Fly UK. This is great news as Teamspeak 3 includes many new and improved features including improved sound quality, improved text chat and a better user interface. We've made it as simple as possible to connect to the new server and we've put some together some useful guides to help you. Setup Guides: PDF - UKV TRD 6.2 - Setting Up Teamspeak Quick Connect Guide: Download the Teamspeak 3 client. Go to the Teamspeak page on the Fly UK website. Find the box called ‘Your Teamspeak 3 Account’ and click the ‘Click here to connect’ link. A pop up message will display asking for permission to launch an external application. Click the ‘Launch Application’ button. If this is the first time you have opened Teamspeak 3, you will be prompted to complete the Teamspeak 3 setup wizard. Please remember to setup a push to talk key rather than voice activation. A pop up message will display asking you to add the Fly UK Teamspeak server to your bookmarks. Click the ‘Bookmark and Connect’ button. You should now be connected to the Fly UK Teamspeak server. In order to connect to Fly UK Teamspeak in the future. Open Teamspeak 3, from the top menu click ‘Bookmarks’ and then from the drop down menu, click ‘Fly UK Teamspeak’. New to Teamspeak? Teamspeak is a free software program which enables people to speak with one another over the Internet. Ideally, you need a headset however a microphone and speakers will work okay. We run a 24/7 Teamspeak server for the general use of Fly UK members. We strongly recommend all members use Teamspeak. Feel free to connect if you have a problem, would like some help, fancy a chat or would like to meet other Fly UK members. The Fly UK Teamspeak server is used for general chat, staff meetings, training sessions and in-house events. There are also flying rooms for IVAO and VATSIM which members are encouraged to use whilst monitoring unicom when flying on IVAO or VATSIM. At Fly UK we pride ourselves on being a friendly community and we want to keep it that way. If you're going to join us on Teamspeak, please spend a minute or two and read our Teamspeak Acceptable Use Policy so you know what's expected.
