Metroair

The operations department is happy to announce extension to the code share agreement with US based partner Metroair. The agreement also comes with a full rework of the code share routes on offer. The code share flights will now form a natural extension to the network enabling members a wide range of choices to compliment the Fly UK services.

Key to the Metroair operation are its hubs at Baltimore, Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Kansas City, Los Angeles and Portland. Transatlantic flights will be available to all these hubs from London using Metroair A330, B777-300 and 787 airframes in addition to current Fly UK schedules. A business class only flight to Boston will also be operated by an A319. Additionally we can now provide services to Boston from regional UK airports with an A319 service from Leeds plus 757 services from Edinburgh and Birmingham.

Once into the Metroair Network each hub provides connecting hub services and regional hubs based flights to some very unique and interesting destinations. ORBX regions in particular are well catered for. Some USA code share destination highlights include Nashville, Charleston, St Louis, Monterey, Jackson Hole, Juneau, Anchorage, Telluride, Aspen, Eagle. Further afield Panama City, Bogota, Quito, Georgetown, Honolulu, Taipai and Hanoi are just a few of the exciting choices on offer.

We also add the Metroair A320, 757 and 787 to the available fleet. Metroair code share new schedules will go live 22/01/17.

Fly UK Cargo

We recently amended our Cargo services and these updates are available now. In particular the schedules have been tweaked to provide more weekend flights for the 777F and 747F types including some shorter route options.

Adventurous pilots can now also take advantage of something not previously offered here at Fly UK, Polar operations. Operating on a Saturday, a 747F service serves Seattle - Dubai and on Sunday a 777LRF service from Leipzig departs for Anchorage. Falling on a weekend helps to give anyone wishing to take on these up and over the North Pole routes a little more chance to do.

We hope you enjoy these updates for Cargo and Metroair and make use of the possibilities offered by these changes outside of the core Fly UK operations. Although in the planning for a few weeks, these updates do cover off a number of comments and suggestions raised in the member survey released this weekend so its nice to know were thinking ahead for our members :D
