Operations

The Ops team is busy getting ready for the change to summer scheduling at the end of March. More information will be released during the course of the month however the usual summer season routes and destinations will certainly feature. Perhaps the biggest change will come in Fly2's first summer season since the operational changes to full holiday charter routes were introduced as our ski and winter destinations make way for the sun and sand.

Please note that most Fly UK aircraft now have a checklist available for viewing or download from the fleetpage for each aircraft. Please make good use of them, as the real world pilots do everyday.

Tours

Following a review of the tours and the feedback from the member survey work is well under way to release several new tours. The first tour will be release on Sunday 5th March 2017. Further tours will be released at 2 week intervals until tours are updated. The Christmas Cathedral Carol Tour will be placed into the retiring section on 1 March 2017 and will be fully retired on 11th March 2017. Still time for those pilots who have started the tour to finish.

Training Academy

A new training course is now available for those wanting to enter the world of ATC Controlling. An announcement will shortly be made that FlyUK will be providing an ATC service on our own FSD server, more details will follow. In the mean time we are looking to recruit potential applicants that have an interest in controlling. There is no formal requirements to apply and it is open to both experienced Vatsim/ Ivao controllers and members with no experience but would like to learn, There is no fixed course length as it will be matched to the students knowledge level. To book a session go to the Training Academy booking section, under General and select ATC - Aerodrome Controlling.

We would also like to hear from existing skilled users of Euroscope that would be interested in assisting with training/mentoring. If this interests you please contact Gray Brett or Ian Beswick for a chat to find out more of our future plans.
