Dear Members,

February was another great month at Fly UK. It's great to see so many people flying with a UKV callsign! The staff team are currently busy putting together a new development plan, most of which is coming from the all the suggestions we received from the member's wish list. The plan will be published as soon as it is finished along with responses to all suggestions in the wish list. In the mean time we hope you to continue to enjoy this great hobby, and thank you for choosing to fly with us!

Looking at February, we had 188 unique pilots who flew with a UKV callsign and filed a combined total of 1478 PIREPs. We received 643 mainstream PIREPs, 773 tour PIREPs, 319 flying club PIREPs. 31 pilots completed tours in February.

Keeping with tradition at Fly UK, we will once again be following the Formula 1 season with our motorsports logistics flights.

We will provide a full flight schedule which follows the season from March to December using a combination of our specially repainted MD11F (G-FLEG) and 747F (G-FLEC) dedicated to F1 Logistics. We will also use one of our 752Fs (G-FLED) to operate the shorter European legs.

An outline of the full flight schedule can be viewed in a PDF.

A full, detailed schedule with booking links can be found on our Ad Hoc flights page. From there you can book the active flights and then view the flight dispatch pages.

- Staff Team Changes

Ross Queripel is no longer on the staff team. We thank him for all his hard work over the years, and all the best in the future.

Spiro Katerelos has gone on long-term leave from the staff team to concentrate on real world commitments. He will still help as and when time permits and will fully return to his staff position when things have settled down for him.

Carl Chamberlain will now look after VATSIM online operations in addition to IVAO online operations while Spiro is away.

Chris Jones will also be going on leave shortly for around 3 weeks as his partner is about to give birth! We wish Chris and his partner all the best with the arrival of their new baby.

For March, we have decided to hold the weekly Online Night every Sunday night at 1800z. Hopefully this will be a convenient time for as many people as possible. To make it even more exciting, we have introduced our Touchdown Precision idea. For each event we publish a "goal" landing time at which everybody should aim to land at. The person who lands closest to the alloted time wins!

Come on Teamspeak before and join in the chat - you'll find it's a great event where everybody get's chatting and has a great time.
