This month's Fly UK 'Destination of the Month' (DOTM) takes us to the host city of the 2008 Olympic games, Beijing!

One of the world's great cities, Beijing is China's second largest city, after Shanghai. Beijing Municipality covers nearly 17,000 sq kms. Mountainous areas surround Beijing from the west to the northeast, occupying over 10,000 sq kms, and accounting for 62% of the municipal land area. The remaining, 6,400 sq km area is a level plain, approximately 1,000 sq km of which comprises the built-up area of Beijing.

Long-haul flights to Beijing with Fly UK depart from London Heathrow; so what better way to make your trip to Beijing more interesting than reading this month's DOTM PDF!

This single tour flight will be available to fly between 8th August and 24th August 2008 only, and will be available to all Class E+ pilots. You will be able to choose the time and day you fly the flight. Upon completing this long-haul flight (approx 10 hours) you will receive a 2008 Beijing Olympics tour badge and certificate!

Remember, normally you would have to be Class A pilot to fly a passenger Boeing 747-400 or Airbus A340-600. If you are already a Class A pilot, then this is the perfect opportunity to make another long-haul flight and get a special award badge and certificate!

You only need to fly from Heathrow to Beijing to get the award badge, you can return to London by flying Fly UK scheduled flight FL967B from Beijing to London Heathrow. We will release a NOTAM when the new tour flight is available!
