It has been a long time in the planning and now it is here … Fly UK Virtual Airways is please to announce the release of the new style operations.

Fly UK’s new style of operations will add the possibility for Fly UK pilots to fly over 970 different flights to an exciting variety of destinations including Pisa, Boston, San Francisco, Tobago and Antigua to name but a few, and all of these flights will utilise specific aircraft, based upon aircraft allocation from the departure airport.

Along side the new operations in the mainstream of Fly UK’s scheduled, charter and regional flights, the code share flights with Air Belgium have also been released and are available for pilots to fly as that extra ‘flight with a difference’.

It is an exciting time for all of the management team and pilots of Fly UK Virtual Airways.  This major change to operations will see a whole new dimension to the way in which pilots will operate the different flights, more pragmatic and realistic.

To aid the new operations at Fly UK, a new flight search engine has been created so that pilots will be easily able to find that flight that they’re looking for, and two aircraft additions have been made to the fleet: the Boeing 757-300 and the Airbus A340-300, both featuring newly designed titles which refelct our logo.  These aircraft will be available for download at 12:00 noon on 20 February 2007.

Dave Whitson, Senior Manager of the Operations Department comments, "These routes have been a long time in the planning and it has taken a lot of working hours to get correct! I am very excited about the prospect of Fly UK finally being more realistic in its operations and hope the members enjoy the routes as much as we have had implementing them.”

Chris Sutcliffe, CEO of Fly UK comments, “I would like to thank all of the managers for their continued work and effort in making these new operations possible, and to all of our pilots at Fly UK for their patience during the planning and development of this venture.  This is a big step for our virtual airline and it is a step we chose based upon our pilot’s preferences; and by following the demand of our pilots, we think this will be a move for the better!”
