Guest Posted July 17, 2010 Report Share Posted July 17, 2010 _________________________________________________Boeing 787 Order Update ________________________________________________ We are making the following update to members to keep you informed of the progress & plans for our 787 fleet. Outline Fly UK have ordered 5 Boeing 787 aircraft which are due for delivery in 2011/12. (Approximate date, final dates will be announced in due course.) - 3 of these aircraft will be based at London Heathrow. These Heathrow based 787s will replace our current 767s operating our scheduled services from EGLL. - 2 of these aircraft will be based at Manchester. These Manchester based 787s will replace our current 767 operations and will operate our seasonal timetable.Introduction schedule The very first 787 will be delivered to London Heathrow, and will replace our current daily 767 service to Newark (New York.) Our Second and then Fifth 787 will also be delivered to London Heathrow to take over scheduled operations. (Destinations are to be confirmed.) Our Third and Fourth 787 will be delivered to Manchester and will begin operations as per the seasonal timetable.Aircraft Detail All of our 787s at Fly UK will be fitted with the Rolls Royce Trent 1000 engine variant as per our agreement with Boeing. Our typical seating for our Heathrow and Manchester based (Long Haul Scheduled) aircraft is 242 (3-class.)
