2018 Fleet news

Posted 06 Feb 2018

The new Fly UK ops team have been working away hard on the plans for Summer season 20918 and beyond with some fleet changes and orders to announce.

Fly UK Mainstream -
We have agreed to acquire a further three CRJ700 aircraft from the US. These will be based at BHX and SOU to add to the existing CRJ fleet. Also, in Cargo we will take on a further 777LRF to join our Stansted fleet.

Nordic Sky-
As Nordic starts the building blocks of its latest expansion and hub we have acquired an additional Dash 8 Q400. Once all the bricks are in place it should commence operations early summer.

Fly2 -
The leased A330's have operated well for us on long haul holiday destinations and high capacity summer med routes so we have now sought to add permanent aircraft to the fleet. Boeing 787-9 aircraft have been chosen and they will arrive late 2018.

Topa Sky-
Following a successful launch, Topa Sky will undergo its first wave of expansion and frequency increases during 2018. To cater for that an additional two A320's will be leased in the coming months. Topa also has plans to expands it reach in the southern hemisphere and will take on the A330's currently operating with Fly2 at the end of this year and add a further four on lease. To help add expand in these markets in the short term the retired Fly UK 767's will transfer to Topa for a short period until the A330's are available.
