First Week of NEW Operations!
Posted 01 Jan 2005
Since the re-launch of flyukva.com last week, this week has been a very eventful and again hard working week. Our web team have been working hard to resolve various of what we are pleased to say are, minor teething problems with the new website, the fisrt management meeting at which the new Fly UK team were all present was held, staff have been discussing a whole variety of new ideas and projects which will be coming to Fly UK in the very near future.
One of our latest projects is the re-launch of our in-flight kneeboard entertainment system which will be branded as vPAX. vPAX will offer a variety of audio and video streaming for use while in-flight, like in the past, ideally it what passengers would see in the cabin if Fly UK were real. The project is expected to take a while, with final plans been discussed this week, work will begin on the project very shortly.
Our whole fleet is now available to download from the download centre in the form of our limited packages. Ian, our fleet manager has taken some well deserved time off and is currently away soaking up the sun on holiday. On his return we will be launching the full download packages aswell as adding other downloads to our download centre. Ian will also be creating aircraft information pages and working on the chopper division fleet.
All our initial website teething problems have now been resolved, the only one we are aware which still exists is the problem for class E flight crew based at EGKK & EGNM. We are currently working to solve this problem and hub timetables are currently being edited and data collected so our timetables include a number of new routes utilising enough aircraft from each class. Please bear with us and thank you for your patience.
So what's left to do? Our web team will be working on the following to complete flyukva.com:
- Pilot roster & info card rebuild - you will notice this page is severely misshaped!
- Weather Centre
- Flight Procedures
- Scheduled Division
We aim to have the website finished as soon as possible.
We would also like to thank all members who have been posting on our forums during the first week, the forums have been very active, please keep this up!!
Thats all for now folks! On behalf of all the staff team, we would like to thank you for flying with Fly UK, and we will look forward to delivering more exciting projects and features to Fly UK over the coming weeks.
Kind Regards,
Chris Sutcliffe - CEO
