On May 5th, 2013, Pete Dowson - the developer of FSUIPC - has stated that an immediate update is required for users of FSUIPC to continue using the product.
He states, "For the last ten years FSUIPC has been protected against both unwanted alteration and virus infection by the use of a Code Signature, purchased from and protected by GlobalSign, an officially recognised Windows Certificate Authority", before explaining that the Code Signature has recently been used to sign malicious software.
It is relieving to note that FSUIPC itself has not been compromised. However, Pete Dowson has now released versions of his software without the Code Signing, and is asking that users update to continue using the product.
The latest versions of FSUIPC can be found here >>
