Fly UK Virtual Airways: Great Australian Air Rally 2008 Official Participating VA

Fly UK Virtual Airways are pleased to announce that we are one of the official participating virtual airlines for the Great Australian Air Rally 2008. The G.A.A.R is ran by Deer Valley Flying Club and is 'the same rally that was created and organized by Bluegrass Airlines since 2001. With the permission of Bluegrass, Deer Valley Flying Club is happy to bring this tradition to all of you in the sim community'.
The Air Rally is made up of a total of 17 legs, with flight times ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, all to be flown during the month of February 2008. The aircraft used for the rally are vintage aircraft, ranging from the single engined Vultee, to the 4 engined DC-6 which are provided by the event organisers. The flights can be flown offline or online, using FS9 or FSX; meaning that anybody over the age 18 (or the legal age in their corresponding country) can participate, regardless of ability!
The event is open to all Fly UK pilots who meet the event organisers minimum age requirement. The flight hours gained from the rally will not be able to be filed through Fly UK, however all Fly UK pilots who participate in the rally will be awarded with a 'commemorative award' which will be added to their pilot profile.
