New Flying Club Tour

Posted 25 Sep 2014

The Flying Club are pleased to announce the release of their new tour:

The Splashdown Tour

The tour is for seaplanes only since all of the landing strips are on water.

The western seabord of north America is the location for this adventure and it covers 37 unique water strips and over 2000 miles of coastline stretching from Anchorage in Alaska to near Seattle in Washington.

Like all of our tours, it is possible to fly the purple line for each leg, but this part of the world has some fascinating islands and coastline.  Why not, on some of the shorter legs, take time to explore and investigate the area.

Default scenery is good in this part of the world - (Microsoft made it that way) - but those who have some of the Orbyx and other add-ons will find this tour a joy - once you have mastered handling a seaplane!

The usual map and plans are available for download and this time we have included a link to a freeware Beech D18 float which will give you something to master.  Don't forget our tours now use the increased weight limits for the Flying Club. (2500KG/5500lbs)

We've also provided a flight guide for flying floatplanes and an in-flight travel-guide to take along with you on the tour.

Enjoy and have fun.
