Fly UK is one of the most respected and valued virtual airlines. We have been providing a service for almost 10 years, with constant input from many different people. Our staff team is filled with a varied selection of talented individuals made up from our dedicated members. Currently, we are looking to recruit fresh talent to join our team.

 

Role #1 - Operations Assistant

As an Operations Assistant you will be responsible for producing and maintaining schedules allocated by your Head of Department. Each assistant is expected to meet schedule deadlines and regularly liaise with colleagues and managers. You will also be responsible for the allocation of aircraft and updating routes for your schedules - as we update our AIRAC system regularly.

 

Role Requirements:

  • Able to commit a minimum of 5 hours per week to perform duties.
  • A strong believer in teamwork ethics. (Supporting your colleagues as and when required).
  • Strong communication skills (With your department manager; senior management and colleagues via Staff Email, forum etc).
  • Adherence to our Pilot / Staff Handbook and privacy policy.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience with Excel (or any other spreadsheet package) and CSVs.
  • A genuine interest in aviation.

Role #2 - Training Academy Instructor

The Training Academy is Fly UK's key attraction. Our team of instructors is made up of veteran simmers to real life pilots. As an instructor you will be expected to respond to training requests using our Training Academy system. Instructors will be liaising with members directly, mostly in a one-to-one environment.  You must be able to provide a high standard of training in order to allow members to progress through courses. You may also be asked to produce and update training material for yourself and colleagues to use.

 

Role Requirements:

  • A strong knowledge of aviation, flight simulation, flight techniques and popular free / payware models.
  • Strong listening skills, identifying student needs and acting accordingly.
  • A flexible availability to suit members requirements.
  • Able to provide a minimum of 2 training sessions in a two week period.
  • A strong believer in teamwork ethics. (Supporting your colleagues as and when required).
  • Strong communication skills (With your department manager; senior management and colleagues via Staff Email, forum etc)
  • Adherence to our Pilot / Staff Handbook and privacy policy.
  • Successfully pass a mock training session held on teamspeak.

Role #3 - Marketing Manager

As marketing manager you are responsible to maintain our public image. This will include producing professional graphics for our website and social media accounts. You will also be responsible for the production of Press Releases.

 

For your application to be considered, you must provide a portfolio of your work.

 

Role Requirements:

 

  • Good command of the English language
  • Experience in graphic design suites such as Photoshop.
  • To be able to provide images as and when required.
  • Adherence to our Pilot / Staff Handbook and privacy policy.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience in marking is desired; however not required.
