Dublin Here We Come - 1st Dec!

Posted 23 Nov 2008

FLY2, the low cost virtual airline is pleased to announce that new routes, more choice and new aircraft, are coming to Ireland, as we announce Dublin as our first Irish base.

From 1st December 2008, we're basing 3 Boeing 737-700 aircraft at Dublin which will be flying to 9 destinations across Europe. We're also launching a 'FLY2 Dublin' logojet as pictured above.

Dublin Airport, or Aerfort Bhaile Átha Cliath in Irish, is located in Collinstown, in the Fingal part of County Dublin. It is by far the busiest airport in Ireland - over 23.2 million passengers passed through the airport in 2007. To put this into context, the population of the Greater Dublin Area is approximately 1.6 million, that of the Republic of Ireland is just over 4.3 million, and the island of Ireland just over 6 million. Passenger traffic at Dublin Airport is predominantly international; only 900,000 of its 23.2 million passengers in 2007 were domestic

To celebrate this early Christmas present, the launch of FLY2's Dublin base, we're starting as we mean to go on, and supporting the IVAO Irish divisions Dublin event taking place on 14th December. FLY2 routes for this event will be available to book here in the next few days!

We hope you look forward to flying with us from our new Irish base, don't forget to check out http:/fly2.flyuk.aero for more exciting destinations across Europe!
