Fly UK fundraising for Children In Need 2011

Fly UK is doing its bit for Children in Need 2011 with a fantastic 60 hours of none-stop shuttle flights between London Gatwick and Edinburgh. This 45 leg event will see our crews man a specially re-painted Boeing 737-800 from 1400z on Wednesday the 16th of November until the finish of the live Children in Need TV show on the BBC at 0200z Saturday morning on the 19th of November.

The flights will be flown on the IVAO network and we'll be encouraging everyone to fly along with us. Our initial fund raising target of a penny per passenger means we hope to easily reach our first goal of £72.90 from our 45 fully loaded flights.

The operation procedures for the flights will see one captain and one first officer per flight with the captain flying and the first officer helping with dispatch, updating and standing by to take over on the turn-around.

We ask that after 2100z until the morning crew members commit to at least two legs (one as captain, and one as first officer) to help with the scheduling for the difficult parts of the none stop event.

We would like to see a £1 donation by the crew and supporting members to download the special Boeing 737-800 livery. This minimum donation will also include entry into a raffle drawn on Friday for some kindly donated prizes.

We would also like to add some extra fun to our 45 legs with a ‘Landing Rate League’ with a £1 donation to enter. Full details will be released nearer the time.

To let us know your availability as crew for the event, please contact us by any of the methods below and we will do our best to get our schedule filled. Help on the difficult very late/very early flights is appreciated. You'll need to be confident with flying on IVAO using SID/STARs and have Teamspeak installed etc.
