Flying Club - Helicopter Sessions

Congratulations to UKV1408 - Richard Alderdice who is the first pilot to successfully complete all of the flying clubs new helicopter exercise sessions and receive the new Fly UK helicopter award!

Richard is a mature fixed-wing pilot who joined Fly UK in February 2006. He had never flown a helicopter before, so started from 'scratch' as to say and he has now successfully completed all of the helicopter exercise sessions with flying club helicopter operations manager UKV1421 - Trevor Darley.

Here is what Richard had to say about his helicopter operations experience:

"If anybody has considered flying helicopters but found it difficult to master then I can thoroughly recommend these training sessions. I would like to personally thank Trevor for his time and professionalism during our helicopter training sessions. Trevor has a host of excellent tips and with his guidance you will be surprised how quickly you can begin to master the basics of flying helicopters. The delivery of the training has been first rate and very enjoyable. The dedication and knowledge of the staff in the Training Academy and the Fly UK organisation is very much appreciated. I hope that more members take the opportunity to partake in this training."
