Fly UK's featured destination for May is Palma de Mallorca (Majorca) Airport in Spain. Palma de Mallorca Airport is the third largest airport in Spain and is one of the busiest airports in Europe during the summer months. This summer Fly UK are offering 11 return flights to the island, from Edinburgh, Manchester, Gatwick, Southampton, Newcastle, and Leeds Bradford, meaning that you can fly there on any day.

The airport also called Son Sant Joan, and is used as a hub in the real world by 6 different airlines including Air Berlin, Ryanair and Vueling. The main countries served by the island are Spain, Germany, and the UK.

With one terminal connected to four modules, the airport can handle 25 million passengers per year and is able to process 12,000 passengers an hour! There are plans to expand the airport to increase this capacity to 38 million by 2015. The airport has also been used by the Spanish Military since 1938. Module A in the north of the terminal is used for flights to the UK and Ireland.

There are two parallel asphalt runways at the airport 06/24. The most popular route from the island is Düsseldorf, served by Air Berlin, Condor, Lufthansa and TUIFly. Manchester is the most popular UK route, with 900,000 passengers during the first ten months of 2011.

Aerosoft offers a very good package that adds detail for the whole island for both FS2004 and FSX. However, there are also freeware downloads availiable for both FSX and FS2004 which can be found on our airport information page.
