Real World Event - Farnborough Airshow

Fly UK are pleased to announce that there will be a Fly UK meet up at Farnborough airshow this year. This is open to anyone who wishes to come along, Fly UK members will be meeting on the Saturday.

Farnborough is situated just off the M3 with the nearest airports being Heathrow and Gatwick. Farnborough airshow will open to public visitors on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 July 2008 for the ultimate day out. This year Farnborough promises to be the best ever, as it is the 60th anniversary at Farnborough airfield plus 100 years of powered flight in the UK. There is a wide selection of food available at the food courts also a variety of drinks and licensed bars. There is also ample car parking for those bringing their cars along. The Farnborough airshow is famous for its memorable displays, both on the ground and in the air. There will be flying display which will start around midday and run until approximately 5pm. Both civil and military aircraft will be on display, the displays incorporate breathtaking aerobatics and daring maneuvers. Of course, no display at Farnborough would be complete without the famous Red Arrows, whose skill and precision demonstrates the ability of the UK’s best RAF trained pilots.

This is a perfect opportunity for members of the VA to get together in one location and have a good day and also a good laugh, we hope to see as many people there as possible, as the more people who turn up the better the day will be.
