Fly UK Real World Event - Manchester Meet Up
________________________________________________
Fly UK are pleased to announce that we have organised another one of our popular social gatherings at "The Airport Hotel" at Manchester Airport on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th of March. This real world event is open to anyone who wishes to come along; Fly UK members will be there from 10.30am on the Saturday and will be joined by members of IVAO UK and other IVAO based UK Virtual Airlines.
This event will be spread over the weekend, starting with Saturday 27th being at the 'Airport Hotel' which is situated at the end of runway 23R and gives a fantastic view of arrivals and departures (11:00z - 14:00z). After the daytime event on the 27th, we will be doing what we do best and 'hitting' Manchester in the night time. Please note that for obvious reasons, this part of the event is strictly for over 18's only.
During the day of Sunday 28th, it will be up to members as to what they wish to do. Usually, we visit the Aviation Viewing Park, but we will be open to any suggestions at all regarding the day's events.
Members are free to attend one or both days if they wish, the more people the merrier! Some of us will be staying at the hotel on Friday 26th March also, so if you wish to turn up then, you will be more than welcome.
This event is a perfect opportunity for members of the VA and IVAO UK to get together in one location, have a good day and also a good laugh. We hope to see as many people there as possible, as the more people who turn up the better the day will be.
The event itself will start at about 10:30am on the 27th, and we will meet in the beer garden of the Airport Hotel. The pub car park does require £5, but you can redeem £4 of this at the bar. We will then probably run through until mid to late afternoon and then try and be out in Manchester for about 20:00. Please remember to bring some form of ID with you, as many places in Manchester demand to see ID to gain entry.
Accommodation:
There are various hotels situated around the vicinity of Manchester Airport and most of us will be staying at Bewleys near the Airport Train Station. It usually works about £60 - £70 per night per room, so two sharing is only £30 (ish) each. Manchester is easily accessible via train, bus or car if you wish to drive.
Confirm Your Attendance:
If you are planning on attending this event, can you please just give us a 'heads up' in the attendance thread please, this can be found here:
