Summer Schedules – Part 2
Posted 23 Apr 2016
Key changes are as follows:
- Bases and aircraft unchanged.
- This summer the FLY2 route network will concentrate on holiday destinations, with city routes withdrawn as most of these are covered by Mainstream schedules.
- Routes withdrawn: Copenhagen; Dublin; Dusseldorf; Grenoble; Innsbruck; Krakow; Larnaca; Lyon; Palermo; Paris; Prague; Rome; Salzburg; Turin and Verona. Any members who prefer to run a sequential logbook will need to return from these destinations departing no later than 2359z Sunday 24 April.
- Continuing services: Madeira (a simmer’s favourite); the Balearics (Palma and Menorca); the Canaries (Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Tenerife); Alicante; Faro; Malta; Naples and Paphos.
-
New routes:
- Greek islands – Corfu, Crete (Heraklion), Kos, Rhodes, Santorini, Samos, Skiathos and Zakynthos.
- Greece mainland – Preveza.
- Turkey - Bodrum and Dalaman.
- Spain – Almeria, Malaga, Murcia, Reus and Valencia.
- Sardinia – Cagliari.
- Adriatic – Split.
- Morocco – Agadir.
- France - Marseille.
- Ibiza to complete our services to the Balearics.
There are lots of interesting and challenging approaches among the new destinations (e.g.Samos); and plenty of sceneries available to improve your simming experience.
The next development for FLY2 will be to relocate 3 x B737-700 to Palma to run a summer schedule to northern Europe.
Feedback is always welcome (forum link https://flyuk.aero/forums/forum/23-fly2-our-leisure-brand/ ) as we are considering a review of FLY2 services later this year.
