VATSIM Online Operations Update

Wow the last few months have passed in a whirl, with loads of events, regular online flying and support for World Flight. The general standard of pilots has been improving steadily, with the number of pilot incidents coming down to just a handful. That speaks volumes of our VA's training and controllers have been very pleased to serve us.

Also, we'd like to remind all pilots to regularly check our VATSIM sub-forum, where you can find the latest news on events as well as take part in discussion on online flying.

Vroute Community
Our Vroute Community has improved steadily, hitting 90 pilots last month. We would like to take this opportunity to recommend Vroute to all our pilots. It is the foremost online ATC tool available on VATSIM and also shows the latest events worldwide, online VA's (highlighting Fly UK pilots), aside from providing VATSIM's largest database of routes. You can explore the features of the program and download it from the address below:

Northern Skies
We only have two more dates in the Northern Skies calendar - 28th November and 12th December. For those who have been keeping track of the dates, you will have noticed the modification to the final date, which was done in order to fit in our Christmas schedule. On 12th December we will have both a morning and evening event. Flying in both events counts as two legs rather than one.

We encourage ALL PILOTS to join in these last three flights. For those who haven't flown in Northern Skies before, if you fly in all three, you will still get the Northern Bronze Award. And for those who have been flying with us, Northern Silver and Gold are your aim. We anticipate lots of ATC online for these events, especially if we get a lot of pilots flying. Many members of the staff team have also put their names down to attend.

Christmas Down Under
We are also pleased to announce that we'll be doing something different this year for Christmas. This year we will fly all the way down to Sydney, capital of Australia, in a series of 4 events held before 25th December. Dates and event information can be found below:
