Fly UK Virtual Airways and Virtual Flight Experience
Fly UK is pleased to announce a partnership with Virtual Flight Experience, an exciting new 737 Simulator based in the UK.
Virtual Flight Experience founded by Fly UK member Steve Mount opened its doors earlier this year and has already become a great success. Based in the Midlands near Hinckley, VFE features a commercial grade FBPT (Fixed Base Procedural Trainer) of the world’s most popular airliners, the Boeing 737NG. The simulator also benefits from a full 240-degree high definition immersive display, which covers all 6 cockpit windows and extends in front of, around and even behind both pilots.
VFE caters for both the sim experience market and those looking for professional training. The model of simulator used is so accurate they are used to train real airline pilots in the USA and have recently been awarded FAA (Federal Aviation Authority) approval as advanced training devices. VFE are already in contact with the UK CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) to receive certification able to deliver CAA certified MCC and JOC courses in addition to the current training offerings for commercial pilots.
Steve was kind enough to host some of the Fly UK management team back in May and all left very impressed with the setup. Fly UK Vice Chairman and real world ERJ195 first officer Adam Hillier said “I was very impressed with the set up as a whole - the simulator and facilities are absolutely top notch.
