Fly UK welcomes the Airbus A220-300 to its fleet

Last month, the Airbus A220 celebrated its 10th birthday, so what better way to celebrate than introducing it to the Fly UK fleet!

Starting from  2nd August, Fly UK will begin taking delivery of 12 brand-new Airbus A220-300 airframes. All pilots Class D and above will be able to book delivery flights bound for Birmingham (EGBB) and Southampton (EGHI).

Long-range delivery flights will depart directly from Airbus’s Mirabel facility in Canada, while aircraft originating from the Mobile, Alabama plant will feature refuelling stopovers en route for those preferring shorter trips. These ferry operations will remain available in the schedule until 16th August, after which the A220-300 will officially enter mainstream passenger service. Tour and Event operations will also be available after this date and upon delivery completion.

Aurora will also be taking delivery of new A220 airframes in a later phase.

The livery for the newly released Synaptic A220 is available to download now from the Fleet Centre.

With the arrival of the A220-300, phase-outs will begin for some of our Dash 8 and CRJ fleet, marking the next step in modernising our regional and short-haul network.
